Have you ever talked about an idea for so long that you get upset with yourself for not acting on it? By nature, I’m a doer. But, I always put exercise and activity on the bottom of my priority list; leaving me feeling guilty and angry with myself. Meeting with over 15 agents a day, in back –to- back appointments leaves me with little extra time, which is creating a not so flattering, expanding backside. With this being the year of Total Transformation, something had to be done immediately.
Luckily, a new friend and colleague brought back the idea of the treadmill desk. She did additional research about what it takes to operate one effectively. If you walk 1.1 miles per hour, you can easily type, talk, write, and answer calls; all while getting exercise!
After completing the research, my friend put hers in place at her home office. So, I had to get mine, too. But, I couldn’t leave out the agents I coach face- to- face. All I could imagine is that I’d drive agents crazy while I walked on the treadmill discussing their businesses. The only solution was to get them active, too.
With 2 treadmills in the office, our energy is high and the endorphins are flowing all while discussing important issues. To my surprise, it works BETTER than expected for coaching. Not only does it feed my need for multi-tasking, it also gets me more focused on the important things. And, the very first day using it, I burned 928 calories. Love, love, love it!
What are you implementing for your Total Transformation?
